Hyaluron therapy
Hyaluronan, the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, is an important component of synovial fluid. It is formed by the cells of the joint mucosa and released into the joint cavity.
It also protects all internal surfaces of joints and has an anti-inflammatory effect.
Hyaluronic acid is used for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the joints.
- Knee joint (gonarthrosis)
- Hip joint (coxarthrosis)
- ankle joint
- Thumb saddle joint (rhizarthrosis)
- Big-toe metatarsophalangeal joints (hallux rigidus)
The therapy is carried out on a spa basis. Therapeutic effects usually only appear a few weeks later and often last for months.
