Arthrosis - therapy
One of our main areas of practice is the holistic diagnosis and therapy of osteoarthritis.
Arthrosis, wear and tear of the joints, also known as osteoarthrosis, plays an increasingly important role in an ageing society, because only if the quality of life is maintained is it good to grow old. Arthrosis is a degenerative joint disease and is associated with wear and tear of the joint cartilage. Prof. König has published the book "Arthrose - quite different" about the known causes, known and less known, about the course of the disease and the connections to other diseases such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure or gout and about possible conservative and operative treatment options. The chapters on nutrition and lifestyle, the 7 Big E of self-treatment, are of particular interest to you as a patient!
Normally the cartilage together with the joint lubricant protects our joints and thus serves as a shock absorber. This function can no longer be guaranteed by arthrosis. Mechanical overstraining of the joints leads to inflammation and, in the case of advanced osteoarthritis, to bony remodelling processes that lead to joint deformation.
Pain and restricted movement are the noticeable consequences.
We will be happy to advise you extensively on diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities and, above all, on ways of preventing this disease.
